Monitored smoke detectors that alarm companies install and maintain, do not beep. If there is an issue with one of our smoke detectors, there will be a fire or trouble light on the keypad.  Non-monitored smoke detectors will beep (builder installed type) when their batteries are low- replace the 9 volt battery to fix.
