Don’t be tricked into “free alarm systems” scams
Beware when a security company offers you a “free” alarm system. What many people do not realize when signing up for a “free” alarm is that the company will hide the costs associated with the alarm into your monthly monitoring rate. Then they will require you to sign a contract that will make you pay the higher monthly rates for an additional 2-4 years after the alarm system is paid off. Furthermore, if you are unhappy with the company’s quality of service, you will have to stay with them for the duration of your contract. So, as you can see, a “free” alarm is not all it’s chalked up to be.
